Robin Jones - President
Robin has been practicing Occupational Health and Safety for more than 35 years. He started as a Teacher and moved into Industrial Training. He persuaded the company where he worked to employ a Safety Officer and was given the additional job. Robin later dropped the Industrial Training part and specialised in Safety. 

Harold Gaze - Vice President 
Harold is employed by OCCUTECH as the Managing Member. OCCUTECH is an AIA for all aspects of Occupational Hygiene. He is also an AIA for MHI Risk Assessments. He has a number of qualifications in noise control, air pollution, occupational hygiene, health and safety, environmental health and education (HDE). He is a Certified Occupational Hygienist –SA and UK, Certified Environmental Assessor and Auditor (UK), MHI Risk Assessor (SANAS and DOL). His experience includes 20 years of education and training and 35 years of assessing work environments.

Wally Robins - Secretary/Treasurer
Wally is employed by The Msunduzi Municipality as the Manager: Safety and Loss Control, he has been employed by the municipality since 1995. He started his working career in January 1965 as an apprentice Mechanical Fitter, he worked in the trade until July 1985. He was seconded to the Safety Risk Management Department with Eskom in that year. He studied further and achieved the National Higher Diploma in Safety Management in 1996 and has been practicing in that field ever since.

Neels Nortje - Registrar/Treasurer
Neels is employed by Master Builders KZN as a Health and Safety Manager. He started his working career with ESKOM in 1981 where he qualified as a Draughtsman. In 1986 he changed his focus to Safety Risk Management and later qualified as an Occupational Health and Safety Risk Management Officer. He holds a National Diploma in Safety Management and has been practicing Occupational Health and Safety for the past 25 years. He currently serves on the Minister of Labour's Advisory Council for Occupational Health and Safety (ACOHS) as well as the Department of Labour's Technical Committe that is reviewing the Construction Regulations.


Colin Hull - Recruitment
Colin is a retired Chief Fire Officer. He has 48 years experience in Disaster Management and 37 years experience in petro/chemical fire fighting. He holds a Diploma in Personnel and Training Management and has qualified in advanced rescue techniques in South Africa and overseas.




Siven Naidoo - PRO
Siven’s career in Health and Safety began in 1997 when he joined JT Ross & Son Construction. After 9 years with them he joined Stefanutti and Bressan now Stefanutti Stocks Building KZN where he currently serves as their OHS Manager. Siven currently serves on the Master Builders KZN OHS Committee. Over the years he has won numerous safety awards and is currently the Chairperson of the Saiosh KZN branch.



Shane Lishman - Education
Shane started his career with Transnet as a Environmental Health Officer, and was with them for 10 years. During that time he became a Registered Professional Occupational Hygienist. Shane has also worked in construction, paper and pulp, and had a consultancy for 5 years specializing in HSE Project Management mainly to the petrochemical industry providing HSE shutdown and turnaround service management, training and HSE Technical Advice. Early in Shane’s career he also consulted as an Occupational Hygienist. Shane is a HSE consultant to Industry. Specialist - International Institute Risk and Safety Management - Recognized Safety Practitioner (SIIRSM RSP), and a Graduate member of  the Institution for Occupational Safety and Health, (GradIOSH). Shane is also registered with the Environmental Health Registration Board in the UK.
